SUCCESS!!!
If you felt the earth move yesterday, it wasn't an earthquake... it was the arrival of a direct mailing from KENNETH BRANAGH!
I was hoping for a letter, a note, a small bit of chitchat, but Mr. Branagh is a busy man. He has no room for such luxurious time expenditure. So, instead, he took a smaller version of the "Hamlet" card that his assistant had previously sent me, and with a Sharpie marker he wrote my name, then the words "Thank You!" (Yes, he underlined "thank"). At the bottom, "Best Wishes, Kenneth Branagh".
When you tilt the card, you can see that it was written on by hand, not pre-printed. I have his signature on the card his assistant sent, as well as comparisons online with others who've gotten his signature, so I know it's his.
All the mail that I've received from his assistant was sent on letterhead from his studio, but this was in an envelope hand-scrawled with my address.

Hooray. Who's a lucky girl - again. (He obviously hasn't seen your blog postings casting aspersions on him for his delays!)
